page 3..BILL FOSS

Bill Foss was well known for his paintings and as such was contracted to paint the ceiling of a European Cathedral. High aloft on his scaffolds, he imagined another place and time. Bill was dreaming of a chance to transcend his lute playing. He felt it had become boorish considering the only jobs available were liturgical and simple at best. Father Jack was walking beneath and attempting to make some minute adjustments beneath his robe, when suddenly he caught it on a scaffold.

Without any warning, all of Bill's dreams appeared to come tumbling down. As with the others though, something odd happened. A strange vortex whisked him away before he struck the ground... Father Jack was relieved of his duties and was never quite right again.
